Returning Client on Virtual Book Tour July ‘08: Regency Romance Author Hazel Statham

I’m happy to announce returning client, regency romance author Hazel Statham, who will be touring with us again in July!

Hazel is the author of the new book, HIS SHADOWED HEART (Wings ePress, June ‘08), which will be on tour July 7 and continue until the end of the month.

Hazel Statham lives in Staffordshire, England. She started writing at fifteen and has written on and off ever since. She has always been fascinated by history, especially the Regency and Georgian eras and it is the romance and elegance of these times that she tries to recreate in her work.

When she was a child, she often told herself stories and this just progressed to committing them to paper to entertain family and friends. There have however, been gaps in her writing years where marriage and employment intervened, but now that she no longer works, she is able to return to her first love and devote her time to writing. She had her first two novels published in 2005.

You can visit her website at www.hazel-statham.co.uk.

About the Book:

Can a shadowed heart be healed? Can love grow where least expected? The Earl of Waverly believes not. How wrong can he be!

After the death of his wife, the Earl of Waverly, believing his heart irreparably damaged, enters into a marriage of convenience. However, he is not prepared for the healing influence his new young bride has on his life.

Despite the couple’s new-found happiness, nefarious deeds abound and strange happenings are attributed to the ghost of his former wife. Will their love stand the test or will the perpetrator emerge the victor?

Before Hazel embarks on her virtual book tour with us, we asked her a few questions:

Pump Up: Hi, Hazel! Is it okay if I ask you a few questions?

Hazel: Of course. Ask away.

Pump Up: Thanks! First of all, why did you decide on a virtual book tour to promote your book?

Hazel: This is my third tour with Pump Up Your Book Promotion and I find them invaluable. I am hopeless as self-promotion and thought it better to leave it in the hands of the professionals.

(We thoroughly enjoyed you, Hazel…thanks so much for coming back!)

Pump Up: How did you find us?

Hazel: To be honest, I can’t remember. I know it was through an advert on one of the loops I belong to – but which one?

(LOL, darn if I know, but it all sounds good!)

Pump Up: What are your expectations in what a virtual book tour can accomplish for you?

Hazel: With my last tour in January, my new release immediately went to number one on my publishers list at Fictionwise. This will be a hard act to follow but the tour helps me to keep readers informed of my work and current releases.

(Never fear, our virtual touring friend!)

Pump Up: Do you have friends who have toured online and are you familiar with the process?

Hazel: None of my friends have taken part , but I have recommended the tour to two new writers who will be published in the new year. I don’t think there’s any better way to reach the reading public and will continue to tour with each new release.

Pump Up: How can we make your tour a more pleasurable experience?

Hazel: I have thoroughly enjoyed working with my tour co-ordinator and, if possible, would like to work with her again on subsequent tours.

(kudos to you, Cheryl!)

Pump Up: Thank you for this brief interview, Hazel, and good luck on your virtual book tour!
