I’m happy to announce new client, boomer author and relationship expert Maria Swan who will be touring with us in July!
Maria is the author of the new book, BOOMER BABES: TRUE TALES OF LOVE AND LUST IN THE LATER YEARS (Leisure Books/Dorchester) which will be on tour July 7 and continue until the end of the month, and is a writer and realtor based in Phoenix, Arizona.
When Maria’s house was burned down by a stalker in 1998, she became an advocate for the safety of people living alone. As a result, she began getting more single clients in her real-estate business. Soon after that, she began hosting singles parties and is now responsible for bringing together a number of happy couples.
She is also a columnist for the online magazine Single for Now and has written a monthly column for singles in Life in Southern California, a magazine based in Orange County. She has been featured several times in The Arizona Republic and is the winner of an award from the Women’s National Book Association.
Swan immigrated to the United States from Italy in 1969. She is the divorced mother of two and grandmother of two.

Pump Up: Hi, Maria! Is it okay if I ask you a few questions?
Maria: Ask, I beg you, ask!
Pump Up: Thanks! First of all, why did you decide on a virtual book tour to promote your book?
Maria: Dorothy, I don’t even know what a virtual tour is, but my friends think is a great way to advertise my book and they insist that you are a genius. I truly respect my friends’ opinion, well, most of the time, but not when it comes to men. Coming to think of it I don’t trust their opinion when…next question, please.
Pump Up: How did you find us?
Maria: You are a legend among writers. I fully expect the legend to become reality. Fast. Now.
Pump Up: What are your expectations in what a virtual book tour can accomplish for you?
Maria: You know I was kidding when I played up my bitchy side (see above answers). I’m open to surprises, I love surprises. I’m convinced I’m going to be pleasantly surprised by the results and by results I mean exposure and sales.
Pump Up: Do you have friends who have toured online and are you familiar with the process?
Maria: No, but I have friends who are watching this unfold.
Pump Up: How can we make your tour a more pleasurable experience?
